Richmond
High School Support ARRG
Recently the Lismore Lions Club have added several more schools to
their 'Leo' club which involves local schools adopting a community spirit
and forming their own student committee and the whole school raises
money to help the community.
The school is free to choose a local charity to support and raise funds
to support their charity. The Richmond High School in Lismore have chosen
the Animal Rights and Rescue Group as their very first project and this
picture features the Richmond High School's Leo Club committee at a
meeting with ARRG and Lions, plus several of our Staffie x puppies currently
in care.
ARRG is very proud to be chosen and is very thrilled to know that pets
have been given this important recognition.
Richmond High School's first project is to raise money to purchase a
much needed working trailer for ARRG (we were asked what we needed)
and over the next few months the students will be holding funding raising
events to achieve this.
Richmond High School also presented ARRG at this meeting with a basket
of pet food donated by students and their families and this will be
ongoing to help feed the homeless pets.
ARRG thanks Lions Club of Lismore and the Richmond High School for supporting
our organisation and our pet rescue work.
