Keith and Reggie found each other... Mr Keith Ball and elderley gentlemen from Lismore called ARRG months ago and told us his sad story. He had lost both his old dog and his beloved wife in a short space of time and felt very alone. He asked ARRG to find a suitable companion dog for him and we were waiting for the best match. Before we found a suitable partner he gave a home to a dog from a split home and he was so happy with the new mate, only days after his new friend arrived someone in the family decided they wanted the animal back and Keith was left alone and distraught. Again Keith called ARRG for help to find a new mate and we had Reggie a 5 year old Jack Russell x in care waiting for a loving home as a companion dog. Guess what a perfect match and they are now old friends and do everything together and Keith reports often that Reggie and he have a wonderful life together. ARRG and volunteer Louise Hunter worked with Keith to help find the right dog and we are so happy about this succes story. ARRG is so thrilled to know that we helped a lovely person and a wonderful little rescue dog become best friends. This photo of Keith and Reggie was taken at the recent Paws in the Park event in Lismore a great day out for people and their companion dogs and Keith and Reggie proudly attended. A pet can be the best companion you have, it’s a friend for life!
