Lulu after going to the vet, looking sad but much more comfortable.

Lu Lu's Story

Lu Lu is an 8 month old cat that was brought to our office in a cage on her way to be euthanased. She was no longer wanted and had been severely neglected but luckily the friend transporting her had heard about our group and made a detour to our office to see if we could help, this decision saved her life.

Lu Lu a long haired breed cat was so neglected her hair was completely matted and she had sores and bald spots under this mess, but was still purring.

She was taken straight to the vet and was completely clipped and put on antibiotics for her wounds and then to our cat foster carer Michela who gave her all the love and care she needed.

Only a week later one of our supporters a local resident was looking to adopt a young cat that would get on with her old cat and her 'China' a small dog that was adopted from ARRG. Maureen has vast experience with long hair cat breeds so viewed Lu Lu and thought she might fit in with her animal family and adopted Lu Lu on trial.

The wonderful news is the Lu Lu is doing great and adjusted to the other pets and they accepted her. Her wounds are all healed and her hair is growing back and with the special care and experience Maureen will provide we know Lu Lu will be looking beautiful in no time and more importantly she will be loved for life.

We thank the caring driver who couldn't take her to the vet and found ARRG and Maureen has promised update photos of Lu Lu with her new family.
