Franco is a purebred apricot poodle he came with all his papers.
He was purchased from a registered breeder originally, after 2
years he was given away by his owners 'free' to a good home.
The person who was giving him a 'good home' then neglected him.
Poor Franco was then handed into Ballina pound unwanted
and dreadfully neglected. He was very distressed on arrival and
timid, his coat was in such a shocking state he needed clipping
to remove all the knots.
With lots of attention and care Franco has become quiet playful
and affectionate, and has now been placed in a loving home.
Franco's story goes to show that not only cross breed animals
suffer from neglect, and reinforces our message do not get
a animal unless you know you will have it for the duration of
its life.
