Butch was a dumped puppy that was rescued by ARRG.
When he was taken into care his carer noticed that his front legs
were very bent and weak, the Vet confirmed that he had suffered
from a poor diet and calcium deficiency and that his legs would
be deformed if not treated.
Poor Butch had to have splints applied to his front legs to straighten
them and for weeks he hobbled around with these metal splints,
it was so sad to watch him attempt to run with the other puppies
and dogs and the carer had to check for sores on his legs from
the splints.
The result was wonderful, his legs got strong and returned to
normal and eventually Butch was re-homed as a normal pup and his
new owners love him dearly.
If ARRG had not been there Butch would most likely not have been
rescued, he certainly would not have received the vet care he
needed and he would most likely have been left deformed.
ARRG not only rescues healthy animals, in many cases we provide
veterinary care for animals.
