NATIONAL HOMELESS ANIMALS DAY 2004
AUGUST 21st
'Homeless Animals Day and Candlelight Vigil August 21
2004' This year ARRG held two stalls one in Lismore and one in Ballina.
This picture is at Ballina and seen from left to right Amber, Frank, Barbara
at the stall. Many people visited us during the day and enquired about
the meaning of this event. ARRG gave away candles with bows and attached
a beautiful poem 'The ten commandments' attached. Thanks to the public
who visited and the generous donations made for our rescue work. We also
thank Suzanne, Ursula, Mark volunteers who manned the Lismore stall. ARRG
looks forward to our next Homeless Animals Day 2005 the 3rd Saturday of
August. ARRG would like to acknowledge the International Society for Animal
Rights in America the founders of this event for the great help and encouragement
given to all groups who participate.

Animal
Rights and Rescue Group Far North Coast will again be joining the International
Society For Animal Rights USA, founders of this event and many other Animal
rescue organisations and concerned citizens around the world on this day
by holding an event in Lismore National Homeless Animals Day is now an
International Day and is one day out of the year where we all come together,
united in our mission to expose and win the war on pet overpopulation.
Many organisations around the
world with hold events such as candlelight vigils and Public Exhibits
to observe this International Homeless Animals Day. A day held in rememberance
of the millions of pets whose lives were claimed by pet overpopulation.
ARRG has participated in National Homeless Animals Day since 2002 and
each event was very special. We would like to make 2004 our best yet.
ARRG is proud to join with many other overseas organistions again this
year and we will be holding the International Homeless Animals 2004 and
Candlelight Vigil in Lismore this year.
We plan a vigil where caring people from our community can come together
and listen to speakers on Animal Rights and light a candle at the event
or take a free candle home and light it at dusk and join millions of people
around the world to memorialise the many unwanted animals that have lost
their lives because good homes could not found for them. Also a special
time to pay tribute to the selfless people who devote their lives to stop
the tragic tide of animal cruelty and abuse.
ARRG volunteers ask all caring peope and animal rights people to attend
this powerful and special moment for all animals.
We are looking for volunteers to help at this event and we also invite
any animal rights people interested in being a speaker at this event to
contact us.
Please help ARRG to speak for the ones who cant speak for themselves.
