Here's where
we can remember the animals that have died in care while waiting to find
their special home. Although they are in loving homes with carers it is
not the same as having a family to love and care for you as their special
friend for life.

'CHARLIE'
Charlie died with Kidney failure he had been in care for nearly
2 years and had been treated for kidney probs, recently went
down hill fast and vets advised he was to unwell for surgery,
but he had lots of love from his carers in his time with ARRG.
Charlie's story:
Charlie was a 7 year old male tabby cat. He was dumped in
Kyogle and found wandering on a property. Rather large the
owner of the property thought he was a dumped pregnant cat
and called the Kyogle ranger. Sadly the ranger was not interested
and actually suggested some very harsh final solutions for
this cats life. ARRG was called and told about the plight
of this cat, we were prepared to take this ranger to task
legally, but the rescuer was not prepared to repeat what he
was told. The pregnant cat turned out to be a large desexed
male tabby cat. ARRG thought he may be lost as he was already
desexed so we placed found ads in all papers, sadly no-one
called, so Charlie must have been dumped. He was a large male
cat and was a very placid boy. Charlie loved the outdoors
and would have loved a home on a property where he could wander
and sleep in the sun. He was affectionate and loved lots of
attention.
Sadly Charlie never got his special home.

'CHARLIE BROWN'
Charlie Brown's story:
Charlie Brown was a 4 month old unwanted puppy when he was
brought to my home at Wollongbar by his owner.
Charlie Brown has been in our care for ten years plus and
as a very smart and demanding boy gave us so much pleasure
and many challenges. Charlie was the most loyal dog and always
the top dog of our group. He welcomed hundreds of new foster
dogs and puppies into his home and made sure they all understood
the rules, his rules.
Due to his strong bond with his carer and his oversmart behaviour
he never found a more suitable home.
Charlie was a huge character and was well known by everyone
in the group and he is so sadly missed by Barbara and Rhian
his foster care family for over 10 years.
