As of September 2006 ARRG was approved by the Australian Tax office as a DGR (Donated Gift Receipient) organisation. Which means all donations over $2.00 made to ARRG are now tax deductible. Prior to August 2006 RSCPA was the only animal welfare organistion that had a DGR status a great advantage for them and their supporters. We applaud the ATO for this long awaited and important amendment to the tax laws in Australia. This change will bring great benefits to many organisations around Australia and for their generous supporters.
