DAISY, 11 year old female Fox terrier Daisy was dumped in Kyogle and taken to the pound, no-one claimed her and her time was up when rescued by ARRG. How could some-one dump this dear mature girl and leave her for dead, who and where are these heartless people. Daisy is a gentle and well behaved girl and is settling in with her foster carer and gets on with their other pets and just wants to please. She has been checked by the vet and will need treatment for a heart murmur & medication and some dental work before she is ready for adoption. Daisy is a 'SPECIAL NEEDS' dog and will need a loving person with a kind heart to provide her with a safe place for the rest of her life. Ideally a home with another gentle small dog for company & playtime or a stay at home person/couple with time to love and care for her. Daisy would be a great companion pet for an older person. If you would like to help with Daisy's treatment and ongoing care, your donation would be very appreciated.

BRANDY, 7 years old female Staffie x Brandy was one of three puppies dumped in the bush at Jiggi left to survive on their own for months, but luckily found and caught by a caring person. The puppies were about 5 months and very timid and in a very poor condition when found and ARRG was called to help and they came into care. Baxter and Tigga her siblings eventually found caring and understanding homes and they settled well. But Brandy never fully recovered from the abuse and is still timid with strangers and has lived with her carer for 6 years. Brandy is a very happy and cuddly girl with her foster carers but shies away from strangers but is never aggresive. It would take a very special committed person willing to meet Brandy a number of times to build her trust before an adoption could happen, but we live in hope. Brandy is a very pretty small to medium size girl with short tan hair and is a gentle girl and great with other pets. Ideally her special home will have another dog for company and playtime or a stay at home person/family with lots of time to excercise and care for her for the whole of her life is required by ARRG. Brandy will only be adopted if all her needs are met and her future is secured or she will live her life safely with ARRG.

FLEUR, 12 years old female Corgi x Cattle Fleur was one of a litter of 6 week old puppies dumped in Casino under a house and ARRG was called to catch them. These puppies had been so severely abused and neglected they cryed before you touched them in fear. It took days to catch them and weeks to get them well and happy to be cuddled by our people and several where still shy when adopted into very loving homes. Fleur was the most timid and very shy of people and missed out on getting a home, her fear of people never improved and she lived with her foster carer for 8 years until our centre was built in 2007. She now shares a large enclosure at the centre with 'Boy' our Dingo x and they get lots of attention and daily walks with the volunteers and they have a home for life with ARRG. Fluer is a very special needs dog. She is small dog corgi size and has a tan and white fleck thick & medium length coat which needs bathing to keep flea free.
if Fleur doesn't find her special home she will live with ARRG for life.

SUKI, 5 year old female 99% Staffie Suki was rescued by ARRG from the Lismore pound when no-one claimed her and her time was up. She is a pretty dark brown girl and almost pure bred staffie in size and with short hair. Suki was shy at first & defensive with dogs but loved cuddles & attention and just wanted to please but needed work and training to get adopted. With the help of her new foster carer Pam, Suki has received lots of training in the last few months and has responded so well, Suki is very smart and is now obedient to commands inside and out. She has been socialised with other dogs and gets on well with most dogs and Suki would be the best companion, mate and security dog you could have as she just wants to please her humans. Ideally a home with another dog for company and playtime or a stay at home person/family with an active life style with lots of time to excercise and care for Suki for the whole of her life is required by ARRG.
