When you see an animal removed from our website, it's good news — they have found a home.

'Rescued puppy' this puppy is one of 8 puppies handed into ARRG because they didn't desex their pet. He is a Staffi x Collie and is 10 weeks old. These puppies are very small and will be very small dogs when fully grown. They all have wonderful natures and love lots of cuddles. They get on great with each other and other pets and with children. There are 6 puppies left and they are a mixture of black and white like this little fellow and brindle and white and most have short to medium hair. If you have a fully fenced area and time to excercise and care for him for life contact us by email and PLEASE include your location and phone number. Or call 66221881 or 66637154 so we can chat about suitability.

SPECIAL CASE 'BOY'
Boy is a 5 year old male Dingo x that was rescued from the Tallows Beach. He was born in the bush and spent the first two years as a free wild dog. He was regularly seen on the beach and played with pet dogs but no-one could get near him. Sadly he got ill from a wound infection and the residents called ARRG to help capture him.

After several weeks we managed to feed him food that had sedatives in it and caught him. Boy received vet treatment and was desexed and came into care. Boy has been in care for 4 years and lives with a carer.

Boy is a wise and gentle creature.

He is the most gentle dog and has never shown any aggression to people or animals, in fact all dogs love him. The problem is he is still shy of people other than his carer who may have to move soon. Boy is restrained at all times except when he goes on his long walks and he is so well behaved on the lead. For the rest of the time he is on the longest chain and never creates any problems, he cannot be off this chain unless he is in a enclosed area as he would escape and may attack chooks or small stock.

ARRG has a dream of building a shelter where he would have a special run for him and other dogs not rehousable. Our of getting land for this shelter is getting closer but has not happened.

We hope someone can offer Boy a home, or can give us land for a safe sanctuary for permanent care for these special cases of abused animals that may never find a home and must be provided for for life.

The puppies were very timid and in a very poor condition when found and ARRG was called to save them. Two of the pups Baxter and Tigga have found homes. Now only Brandy is to find a loving home. She is still a little timid with stranger but has responded really well to her carer and loves cuddles. It may take some time for her to become fully confident and she needs a loving home and a little patience. She gets on great with other pets and ideally they need a special home with lots of love and some extra committment to her progress and in return you will receive much devotion from her. 'FLEUR' is a 4 year old female Corgi x Cattle. She is small and has a tan and white fleck medium length coat. Fleur was an abuse case and was rescued by ARRG when she was only months old. Sadly Fleur never gained confidence with many people and is still timid and shy around some people. She has bonded with her carer's family and is very loving and playful with them and other pets and is a great little watch dog but may never be happy in a home with lots of visitors. Ideally she would need a home with a mature family who would give her lots of love and attention and in return she would be a great companion. Fleur lives on a quiet property where she has lots of long walks with her carer and she is a well behaved girl. If you have a fully fenced area and have time to excercise and care for her and are prepared to give her time to bond with you, contact us. If emailing please include your location and phone number so we can chat to you about suitability and viewing her.
