POODLE — LEFT TO DIE AT SIDE OF ROAD

THIS IS ONE OF THE SADDEST STORIES OF ANIMAL NEGLECT FOR ARRG.
ARRG was called by a vet clinic in Casino, a lady had found this
poodle laying on the roadside, hit be a car and she was told the
dog had been there for 4 days left for dead.
When the lady checked she found the dog was still alive and took
the dog to the a vet in Casino. This poor poodle had a broken
leg and the vet treated the leg.
If ARRG couldn't take this dog we were told she would be euthanased.
The vet said the dog was probably an old breeding dog as she has
had many litters, she is about 10 years old, she is blind, has
no teeth and has large mammary gland cancers which may only give
her months to live—a common result of overbreeding—You
have to see this poor dog to understand the horror of what she
had been through.
ARRG took her into care. Her leg is in plaster and her coat needed
clipping but she is now responding to her carer and her condition
is improving, when her plaster is off in a few weeks we are sure
she will feel much happier, as this leg worries her.
ARRG has found a wonderful lady to care for her for the remaining
time she has and she will never know such horrors of this world
again.
Our dream shelter includes an area that animals such as this poor
dog can have love, and care for the remainder of their lives.
