Suki Needs a Home
'SUKI' IS A PRETTY 5 YEAR STAFFIE GIRL THAT NEEDS A CARER OR NEW HOME
She has been in care a number of years and had several carers but her long time carers who loved her & gave her lots walks on the beach were from USA and recently went back. More info »
All our cats are kitty litter trained and need a home where they are locked in at night and locked in completely for the first week to ensure they have time to bond with their new family and home.
Read more about cat adoptions.
When you see an animal removed from our website, it's good news — they have found a home.
BARNEY, 8 year old male Domestic med hair Barney has been in care for a number of years, rescued as young cat he was terrified of people & only responded to his carer. Barney is a very handsome large boy with a lovely grey medium coat. Over the years Barney has gained confidence and is now actually very affectionate with people given time. But with so many kittens and much younger affectionate unwanted cats always needing a home Barney like other shy cats get overlooked. Barney is gentle and would suit a mature person who wants a companion & friend. He just needs the right cat loving person who will give him time to adjust and settle into a new home and then he would be your friend for life.

ESTA, 10 year + old female DSH Esta was dumped in Lismore town in a dreadful condition & suffering mouth ulceration, the lady who found her took her to a vet for treatment and then called ARRG to help. Esta is a beautiful old cat & currently lives in our office, she loves cuddles, doesn't like other animals and eats well even though she has no teeth. Ideally a one cat home with an older person who wants a companion pet to love would suit her and after settling in she would love a visit to the garden again. Esta most likely has had to fight other animals to survive on the streets that threatened her survival for so long, yet once she must have been someone's loved cat as she still loves humans.

COCO, 5 year + old female DMH Another photo of Coco and her severe skin neglect on her back, this is after some treatment, when she was found on the road the skin wounds were much worse and she will need many months of treatment to recover.

COCO, 5 year + old female DMH Coco's case so sad. She was seen falling off the back of a truck in Lismore and taken to a Lismore vet, while at the clinic a caring lady saw her and followed her story, Coco was then taken to the Lismore pound and the lady called ARRG to help and ARRG got her from the pound. Coco is a severe neglect case suffering from an untreated severe skin problem and very underweight. How she got onto the truck or where she came from no-one can say. But wherever she came from Coco has been very neglected. The caring lady has paid for her intitial treatment for her skin problem and offered to be her carer until she recovers, her condition is still very severe and it may take months of vet treatment to stabilise her condition and before she can find a new home. Coco is a pretty calico medium hair cat and yet with all her painful sores on her ears and body has the most lovely affectionate and purrs loudly when cuddled. Coco deserves all the help we can provide to get her well and ready for a second chance at life without neglect. Adoption will be months away for Coco, but if you would like to make a donation to help us cover some of her vet bills we would be very thankful and then watch for Coco's recovery story.
