All our cats are kitty litter trained and need a home where they are locked in at night and locked in completely for the first week to ensure they have time to bond with their new family and home.

When you see an animal removed from our website, it's good news — they have found a home.
LEXIE, 10 year old female Domestic medium hair Lexie was dumped in Casino & taken to the pound, her time was up when ARRG rescued her. We were shocked at the condition of Lexie when she was collected. She was skeletal & couldn't use one front leg, she was taken to a vet immediately where we discovered she was 10 years of age, only 2.3kg and her leg problem & old untreated injury that can't be treated but causes her no pain. So Lexie is partially disabled as the leg is bent in half but she can still use it and is still very mobile. Who could abandon their cat at this age & in this condition, it breaks our hearts to see such suffering. After all this trauma Lexie is still a very affectionate girl and her condition is rapidly improving with lots of love and good food from our foster carer. Ideally a very special cat loving person with lots of time to care & love her for the rest of her life is required by ARRG. Lexie will never be hurt or neglected again by another heartless human.

JASON, 3.5 years old male DSH Jason was rescued as a large kitten after being abandoned in the Alstonville area and left for dead. Rescued by ARRG as a big kitten he has been in care for over a year. Very timid at first and still a little shy when he meets new people he is now a happy cat thanks to his carer, he gets on well with other cats and loves children. Ideally a home with cat loving people with patience and lots of love to help Jason settle in. All our cats and kittens are kitty litter trained and must be locked in for 2 weeks on arrival and then always locked in at night.

MADEMOISELLE, 6 month old female Persian x Friday 30/7 we received a call from a caring man in Lismore reporting a cat had been at his house for about a week & was sick, after hearing the syptoms we thought the cat could be female & on heat. A volunteer was organised to respond & collect the cat & take to the vet if needed. Our diagnosis was correct she is a 5 month kitten on heat. Now in care this pretty girl will receive all her vet work before being available for adoption. Mademoiselle is a very pretty long hair tabby girl, she is still stressed but is now getting used to all the cuddles and care from her cat foster carer & will be ready for adoption in a few weeks after being desexed. Please remember a kitten can be on heat as early as 18 weeks and is often the cause of unwanted litters, so desex at 4 months or earlier.

SHIRLEY, 3.5 year old male Domestic short hair Shirley is a pretty tabby girl. She was rescued by ARRG at 3 months of age after being dumped on a farm at Alstonville and left for dead, she was terrified and poor when found. She is still shy at first with strangers but very loving to her carer and loves the kids and curling up on a lap. We are looking for a real cat lover to give Shirley her big chance. She loves other cats and ideally a home with another cat and a special cat person/family who would be patient with Shirley for the first few months and then love her for life. She is an inside cat most of the time and would need to be locked in on arrival until fully settled and then always at night.
